Advanced Open Water Diver eLearning includes interactive lessons on 13 popular specialty dives: altitude, boat, digital underwater imaging, drift, dry suit, fish ID, night, buoyancy, search and recovery, underwater naturalist and wreck diving.

You'll study deep and navigation diving plus three specialties of your choosing.

The course includes five dives: a deep dive below 18m/60f, a navigation dive, and three specialty dives. Gain experience, build confidence and discover your diving abilities.

Depth: The maximum depth depends on your age, but maximum depth is up to 30 metres/100 feet

Itinerary

We typically run our PADI Advanced Open Water Course over 2.5 days. You will be sent your e-Learning for independent study to be completed prior to the start of your course. The first day you will join your instructor for 2 morning dives and the second day will be 2 morning dives followed by 1 afternoon dive which completes the course requirements.

Our Advance Open Water course includes Deep, Underwater Navigation, Drift, Wreck, and Underwater Naturalist. If you have specific requests please reach out to us for additional options.

During the PADI Open Water Diver Course you learn the critical skills needed for scuba diving during your Knowledge Development, confined water dives and open water dives. During your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course, you will complete 5 Adventure Dives which focuses on a particular activity or skill.
No, the Advanced Open Water Course is not mandatory, however, it will build your skills and confidence level underwater. It’s also a fun and exciting experience!
First of all, you should expect to have a lot of fun while completing your Advanced Open Water Course, and expect to become a more skilled and more confident diver.
Well, for each Adventure Dive, you will be required to complete a theory portion – this can be done at home via PADI eLearning or in a classroom setting. You’ll also need to complete some basic knowledge reviews to ensure you have a sound knowledge of the theory behind each dive. The Advanced Open Water course is made up of five adventure dives. The Deep Adventure Dive and the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive are compulsory and will give you some essential skills to become a more competent diver. You also get to choose another three Adventure Dives to help build your skill set.
