What can we say about Allie? Basically, she’s AMAZING and a true animal whisperer! When she’s not running the day-to-day business, making sure Dive Grenada operates as a well-oiled machine or teaching new divers to love the underwater world, she can be found leading certified divers to close encounters with incredible marine life. Seriously, we are all jealous of her post dive stories… jump on a dive with Allie if you want to swim with Hammerhead Sharks, play with baby Manta Rays, or chill with sea turtles during your safety stop!

PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and Doer of Other Interesting Things

After more than 20 years as a diver Neal still comes to work every day believing he’s living the dream, and he is. Having lived a life so interesting, so entertaining, that he sounds more like a character from a novel rather than real life, his passion for diving is undeniable and can be felt by everyone around him (also, we fact checked the stories… turns out, most of them are true). When he’s not leading certified divers across our magnificent reefs or through legendary shipwrecks, he can be found “spreading the stoke” to the next generation of divers as our lead scuba instructor.

Boat Captain and Divemaster

Zhane splits his week between taking care of divers onboard our custom built dive boat as the captain, and leading guests on incredible underwater excursions as a Divemaster. His slow, smooth pace, and uncanny ability to locate hard to find inhabitants on the reef have made him a fan favorite! When he’s not working, Zhane can most often be found diving and snorkeling in the protected bay’s near his home… “When you love something, you want experience it every chance you get”.

Garry’s love for Grenada and our spectacular marine life is absolutely infectious, it’s nearly impossible not to have a great time when he’s on the boat! Whether he’s sharing some of Grenada’s history with our guests during a surface interval, or using his 30+ years of experience to get you to the perfect dive site. Garry makes sure that every person who dives with him has more than a “tour”, he creates an incredible experience that can’t be forgotten!

Boat Captain and PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer

Not only does Marlon split his week between expertly captaining our custom dive boat and leading certified divers on daily excursions, he is one of the finest scuba instructors in the Caribbean, as is shown by several other tour operators falsely claiming him as an employee as well. When not diving he can be found relaxing with his family, spearheading a movement to place hives of bees that may one day save the planet, or teaching local children valuable skills such as sailing and boat handling.

Shawn came to Dive Grenada highly recommended with a wealth of local knowledge and experience having worked as a captain on private boats as well as commercial vessels and has been an amazing addition to our team! We knew he would be, he’s a second generation Dive Grenada captain  When he is not safely transporting divers to their next fabulous dive site, he can be found in the water working toward his Divemaster Certification.

Kaitlyn may walk, talk, and work like an executive assistant around the shop, but when she’s not helping guests with equipment or educating travelers about the artificial reef we have been building (Grenada Artificial Reef Project – GARP), she can be found writing essays and solving complex equations to achieve the highest possible grades she can… in Junior High School.

DIVE BOAT

Our dive boat (DG-2 as it is affectionately referred to) is custom-made for Caribbean reef and wreck diving. DG-2 boasts a well-balanced 10 meter/32 foot fiberglass design with ample equipment storage in the stern and comfortable guest seating at the bow. Mounted with twin Yamaha 200hp engines, DG-2 will carry you to the majority of Grenada’s 40+ dive sites quickly and comfortably. Standard on board you will find one of the finest crafted dive ladders in the Caribbean, making exit’s from the water easy for divers of all ages and experience levels. Additionally, DG-2 comes fully stocked with an extra large 02 cylinder attached to a DAN delivery system as our emergency oxygen kit, top of the line Garmen GPS and depth sounding equipment keep us right on the mark, and our long range VHF radio or emergency mobile phone always ensure our well trained crew is prepared for any situation. What perfect dive boat would be complete without cold clean drinking water and fresh baked cookies available onboard after every dive and snorkel outing? DG-2 has everything you need to maximize your island adventure!

Your adventure with Dive Grenada starts with our amazing team of highly experienced instructors. Our 10-meter (32 ft) dive boat is custom-made with a fiberglass hull, two Garmin GPS systems, a depth sounder, and twin 200hp engines. The ladder is specially designed to allow easy entry and egress from the boat, even with dive equipment on. On board, we have a large 2-cylinder with a DAN delivery system as our emergency oxygen. We also carry a VHF radio and an emergency mobile (cell) phone.

Often described as “the best view on earth” and “I’ve never seen anything like this” by our guests, Dive Grenada’s home base is located on Grand Anse Beach in front of Mount Cinnamon Resort, just at the water's edge, with magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea, Grenada’s capital city of St. George’s, and towering emerald green peaks of the Grand Etang Rainforest. It is from this picturesque location all of our trips and excursions depart. On site you will find our diver friendly pool used for PADI training courses, freshwater showers as well as secure drying and storage facilities for all of your equipment. Our entire fleet of rental equipment is modern, well-maintained, and regularly serviced so you can enjoy comfortable and worry-free diving even when you are without personal gear.

Our location and on-site facilities are a huge bonus for non-diving partners as well. With access to safe swimming, an artificial reef to snorkel and explore, complementary sun loungers to relax in, tasty food and cocktails to sample, you may end up like us and never want to leave… travelers often use our complementary high speed wireless internet to let their family and friends know that they are extending their vacations!

To scuba dive in Grenada, you must be at least 10 years old and in good health. Certified divers should bring their dive certification cards. If you are not certified, you can take a Discover Scuba Diving course to dive under the supervision of an instructor.
