PADI Rescue Diver is one of the most rewarding and challenging continuing education scuba courses you can sign-up for. This scuba course teaches you to recognize and respond to dive emergencies, accident management, how to administer emergency oxygen and even fix common equipment problems — all while putting your physical strength to the test. You will learn to recognize the signs of diver stress and to always be prepared to help a fellow dive buddy in need — whether it be at the surface or underwater.
Phase One: Independent Study (e-Learning)
Online learning makes it easy to fit scuba lessons into a busy schedule. Complete the knowledge development section of your course whenever, wherever it's convenient for you. Work at your own pace, online or offline, using a computer or mobile device. Connect with your instructor for inwater training, or whenever you have a question. eLearning time commitment: 8-12 hours
Phase Two: With Your Instructor
The water training sessions are serious fun. You'll practice handling scenarios ranging from handling a leg cramp, to leading an in water search and rescue operation by role-playing with other students and your instructor. • Total time commitment: 4-7 days
