Description

The thought of dipping below the surface at night seems mysterious, yet so alluring. Although you've been scuba diving at a site many times before, at night you drop into a whole new world and watch it come to life under the glow of your dive light. The scene changes as day creatures retire and nocturnal organisms emerge. If you've wondered what happens underwater after the sun goes down, sign up for the PADI Night Diver Specialty course.

Why take this tour?

The scenery underwater transforms once the sun goes down. If you have been around the ocean at night and have seen tiny critters bioluminescence at the surface, imagine what it’s like underwater. You will get to experience 3 night dives with an instructor exploring and learning about how to navigate underwater at night.


The coral polyps open, lobsters come out of their hiding places, octopuses swim freely, and sharks hunt. Night divers have the opportunity to see the food chain in action, coral spawning, and other mating behaviors.


If you want to take your night diving to the next level, try diving with a UV flashlight. Florescent night diving intensifies the neon glowing colors in the reefs. Each group we take out will have a divemaster with a UV light to show you the wonders of the glowing underwater world.

Work at your own pace, online or offline, using a computer or mobile device. Connect with your instructor for inwater training, or whenever you have a question. eLearning time commitment: 2-4 hours

Phase Two: With Your Instructor

Practice underwater navigation at night and learn how to find entry and exit points in the dark. Your instructor will share night diving tips, teach you how to stay in contact with your buddy, and avoid disorientation.

This payment is non-refundable within 7 days of the first scheduled day of diving/PADI Training or snorkeling with Dive Grenada.

Prerequisites

PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers or higher, who are at least 12 years old, can enroll in the Night Diver specialty course.
